Where Olazábal plays every day

The course has two clearly different parts: the first 9 holes are very lively, they play more with the terrain and you'll have to play the greens with finesse. On the back nine, the fairways are longer and the greens are more welcoming. Txema Olazábal, winner of two Masters at Augusta, trains on this course and helps many young people who are thinking about being professional golfers. Despite the location being prone to frequent rain, Basozabal can be played on practically every day of the year. The course has magnificent drainage systems and is capable of withstanding the more than 100 litres of rainfall per day. Its 18 holes challenge players of all levels.

Sublime and pioneering

Txema Olazábal, the Arruti family, and Tania Elosegui, among other champions, started playing in Jaizkibel. It is an 18-hole design by Pierre Hirigoyen in the municipality of Hondarribia, very close to France. The course is magnificently adapted to the centenary trees and hills, to such an extent that sometimes we'll have the ball higher or lower than our feet. We are faced with a course where we will exercise, have fun, use all the clubs in the bag and where, walking along the fairway of the 18th hole, we will delight in the views of the majestic farmhouse where the clubhouse is located.
